Open Innovation model in the ICT industry - The case of the german telekom

Abstract

This paper investigates the adaptation of the Open Innovation (OI) model in the ICT industry. The focal point of this paper is the investigation of the knowledge flow in ICT companies, analyzing outside-in and inside-out innovation processes. After elucidation of the OI model, we will exemplarily explain the adaptation of the OI approach in the ICT's industry by presenting the case study concerning the innovation policy within the Deutsche Telekom. © 2012 IEEE.
