The physiological value of saliva pH is in the range of 6.2-7.6. A saliva sample was taken before consuming the liquid and four samples at a certain time interval after that, in 10 volunteers. PH was determined using a digital pH meter (Lutron Electronics Enterprise pH meter). The tested liquids lead to an initial decrease in pH which after 2 hours approaches the values before the experiment.
