An innovative approach to the condition monitoring of excavators in open pits mines

Abstract

This papers presents an innovative approach to condition monitoring of rotating equipment using internet technologies and automatic vibration diagnosis. As a case study an installation of the system on a bucket wheel excavator is shown. For the purpose of evaluating significant vibration features as well as for analyzing the load/ vibration relationships methods of advanced multivariate statistics is utilized.
