Abstract: This paper presents variations of microfluidic mixer design and its relation to quality of mixing performance of passive micromixer simulated in Comsol® software tool and manufactured by means of xurographic technique with low-cost multilayer PVC laminated foils. Variations of design are made in the terms of number of pairs of parallelogram barriers as well as their dimension comparing to the width of microchannel. Used methods, fabrication technique and materials are also studied. Optimisation of design parameters for optimal mixing performance is discussed
