Abstract: This paper presents the comparative characteristics of the microfluidic mixer made in two of different technologies. The first mixer is made of low-cost PVC laminated film technology and the other in a more sophisticated PDMS technology. The procedures of the fabrication of the microfluidic chips is explained. Experimental set-up is described. Experimental results will be presented and performances compared. We will compare the quality of fabrication of the semi-circular shaped mixing structure between PDMS and PVC film to check if the PVC technology can be use with this kind of mixing structure for low cost microfluidic mixing application.
