Sažetak: Nowadays complex business conditions give rise to new problems and challenges faced by the employees in organizations, which requires a more intense use of controlling and managerial approach. One of them refers to the development of new ways of self-management, i.e. the tendency of employees to utilize their abilities and skills the best they can, and organize them in time at their disposal as rationally as possible. Organizing work activities during the working hours in a qualitative manner is essential for the organization. Time planning and management is one of the most important success factors of the organization, regardless of the type of its activity. This research paper examines the need for both long-term and short-term daily time planning and management as a means for achieving greater business success in individual and global business environment and indicates the key factors that need attention in order to manage the employees' time in a rational manner.
