Title: Web stores in Serbia: Recommendations for e-business strategy implementation

Abstract: E-business strategy as a part of general business strategy is becoming key element for effective and cost efficient market penetration. This paper analyses the main factors that must be taken into account when developing and redesigning a web store. Authors conducted a research of 479 websites in Serbia that are providing electronic commerce services to determine all necessary features for fully operational web store. It was found that over 85% of examined websites does not have any payment option and below 20% does not have e-cart feature for processing electronic commerce. In addition, from all observed web stores over 25% do not have any delivery options available. Finally, more than half of websites do not have information provided on website regarding conditions of use and privacy notice.
