Title: | Risk-Based Allocation of Automation Devices in Distribution Networks With Performance-Based Regulation of Continuity of Supply | Authors: | Popović, Željko Knežević, Stanko Popović, Dragan |
Issue Date: | 1-Jan-2019 | Journal: | IEEE Transactions on Power Systems | Abstract: | © 2018 IEEE. This paper presents a risk-based procedure for obtaining the best network automation scenario in the presence of uncertainty in distribution networks where performance-based regulation of continuity of supply is used. The proposed approach takes into account the uncertainty in loads, failure rates, and interruption duration. It employs fuzzy sets, fuzzy mixed integer linear programming algorithm, and a tool for managing risk to determine the optimal number, type and location of different types of automation devices in the presence of the aforementioned uncertainty. The presented approach considers performance-based (reward/penalty) schemes for an extended group of network reliability indices (SAIFI, SAIDI, MAIFI, and ASIDI) along with the cost of new automation devices and cost of relocation of the existing devices. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/838 | ISSN: | 08858950 | DOI: | 10.1109/TPWRS.2018.2857412 |
