Cloud-based personalization framework for end-user set-top box applications

Abstract

The concept of cloud computing allowed for integration of vast variety of devices and services towards the provision of enhanced experience for consumers. In this paper techniques and a framework for the provisioning of personalization information to the users of set-top box applications are presented and evaluated. To provide personalized services, the framework utilizes cloud-computing concept and online profile of the user. Evaluation is performed within a personalized electronic program guide application. © 2013 IEEE.
