Abstract: © 2014 IEEE. In this paper a new variant of optimal fourth-order iterative scheme for finding simple root of nonlinear equation has been considered. The method is numerically compared with several relevant two-step methods. The numerical performances based on the test examples agree with the theoretical analysis of the method.
