This paper evaluates the performance of widely linear filtering based equalization for suppression of kindred co-channel interference. The presented approach is extension of the MMSE method proposed for ICI/ISI compensation for OQAM/FBMC transmission system in [1][2]. The analysis and computer simulation results show the relevance of widely linear filtering based equalization approach when the interfering signal exhibit improper statistics.
