Title: | Tractable and scalable algorithm for dynamic voltage stability assessment in large-scale power systems | Authors: | Sarić, Andrija Stankovic A. |
Issue Date: | 31-Aug-2015 | Journal: | 2015 IEEE Eindhoven PowerTech, PowerTech 2015 | Abstract: | © 2015 IEEE. This paper proposes a scalable algorithm to identify and analyze bifurcation points of a large power system model of dynamic voltage instability. Different types of bifurcations are analyzed, such as: saddle-node (fold), Hopf, singularity-induced, and limit-induced bifurcations. The interval bisection based algorithm is proposed for determination of the steady-state equilibrium point. The proposed algorithm is based on calculation of critical eigenvalues (least damped or closest-to-zero) only. The approach is applied to two (medium- and large-scale real-world) test power systems. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/5355 | ISBN: | 9781479976935 | DOI: | 10.1109/PTC.2015.7232426 |
