Verification of Set-Top box media player functionality using automated test system

Abstract

© 2015 IEEE. With constant increase of media player functionalities, manual verification became very challenging and time consuming task. Manual execution of minimal set of test cases required for functional testing of media player requires considerable human effort and more than 20 working days. This paper proposes a solution based on Black Box Testing methodology for automatic testing of media players. Proposed solution can be used for functional testing, performance testing and stress testing of media players.
