Abstract: © 1996 Taylor and Francis. Unit work times for manually performed building activities are often determined as an average of on site measured time spent, for accomplishing the work. The activity duration is computed using this average. A procedure of computing the risk that this activity duration may be exceeded is explained. An example of computing the activity duration, and the related risk, when building a veneered facade wall is given.
