Abstract: In this paper a model for short term planning of distribution network development is being presented, providing in a completely new way opportunity to determine locations and values of reinforcement on specific feeders in existing network, as well as values and locations of new (not yet built) feeders. Purpose of the proposed model is reduction of total expenses (fixed and variable), of the distribution network development. Suggested model provides best candidates for reinforcement and construction of new feeders, taking into account the possibility of reallocation loads in the distribution network, along with changing status of switching and disconnecting equipment in existing and newly built network (modification of distribution network configuration). Proposed model is based on mixed integer programming and belongs to the group of static models.
