Abstract: Voltage sags and harmonics are becoming the major power quality problem in low voltage distribution network in Vojvodina. Numerous interruptions in production processes resulting in several hours hold of complete production, blown fuses, major supply transformer failures are notified as their negative effects. They have serious economical consequences. The paper gives detailed classification of different power quality disturbances with theirs main characteristics. Voltage sags and harmonics are described in more details and with theoretical background. They have been measured, recorded and analyzed. Some results of systematically and long term measurement in distribution network of Vojvodina are presented. Both results of harmonics and voltage sags are analyzed and discussed. Some protection method are proposed and also discussed.
