Abstract: Intelligent agents play an important role in software engineering regarding their intensive employment in search and processing of information as well as in complex software products, tools and systems. Security in these systems must be considered as an important part of architecture. This paper suggests one implementation of security subsystem in J2EE-based Agent Framework developed at the University of Novi Sad. This implementation is based on certificate management infrastructure, e.g. PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). Also, as a part of J2EE-based Agent Framework, security subsystem is implemented as a plug-in that can be substituted with more appropriate version, if necessary.
