This paper gives comparative analysis of different algorithms for distribution network analysis through corresponding numerical performances. Four basic algorithms are studied: Gauss-Seidel's, Newton's, linear algorithm and Shirmohammadi's algorithm. Then, the basic Shirmohammadi's algorithm is extended in order to include automatic voltage regulation of transformers 110/x kV/kV and customers behaviour due to voltage changes. All concerned algorithm are tested on the urban real-life medium voltage distribution network. These results have shown high superiority of the specialized algorithms regarding the computation speed and accuracy.en
