Abstract: In this paper the fast voltage security assessment of power systems with secondary voltage control is presented. The modified load flow model, that takes into account the steady-state effects of the secondary voltage control already after the lirst iteration of the solution procedure, is proposed. It is shown next, that a new performance index needed in the contingency selection stage, can he established. This index is based on the newly defined unknown variables of the modified load flow model. The verification of the proposed modified load flow and the new performance index was done through the comparative analysis of the presently used screening methods on the real high-voltage power system of former Yugoslavia.
