Abstract: Level crossings (railway level crossings - RLC) are the intersection places of the crossing railway lines and roads. As a place of crossing the two forms of transport (road and rail), are the places where collision occurs a large number of traffic accidents, often with great damage and casualties. One of the factors of safety on the RLC is a road construction which is mounted in the RLC. European orientation of the RLC pavement is- "rubber panels" (rubber panels-RP) that have an impact on traffic safety and to show many times better performance than wooden sleepers and concrete slabs from the aspect of durability as well as in terms of simple assembly and disassembly in the event needs. This paper defines criteria for the optimization (selection order of priority) that describe each RLC as well as the results of research the relative weight of the defined criteria. This paper will also be shown to optimize the investment process related to the installation RP of the RLC. The paper will be explored in addition to the research criteria and relative weight of criteria, is shown and multicriteria analysis that provides an opportunity for optimization investment process.
