dc.description.abstract | © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020. Pile load testing may be of static and dynamic character. Dynamic load tests are carried out by applying an axial impulse load by the use of falling mass. In this paper a dynamic load testing of a single pile foundation and its analytical and numerical modelling by the use of finite element method (FEM) are described. The vertical deflection due to the determined maximum allowed static force was calculated in FEM model and was used to control the value of the deflection in nonlinear dynamic FEM analysis. The correlation between the force value, soil properties and deflection is analysed. Hence, a proper FEM model for the purposes of pile dynamic load testing procedures could be recommended. | en |
