Upsetting of cylinder is a basic operation of bulk metal forming which can be performed by tools of various shapes (planar, conical, spherical, cylindrical, combined, etc.). Analysed in this paper is cold cylinder upsetting by flat plates, hollow plates and hollow plates with concentric channels. The stress-strain state and process parameters were determined by FEM analysis using ABAQUS software. The results were verified experimentally, by generating the forming load diagram for specimens made of C4146 (EN: 100Cr6) withof various dimensions.en
