Abstract: In this paper, by monitoring the components of the SRs 1200x24/4x0 (400kW) + VR excavator, a reliability model based on software simulation was derived. Small number of failures per subsystem in complex repairable technical systems of this kind is often an obstacle when creating a reliability model. A flexible model was set up to ensure its widest possible implementation. This simulation model is based on a small number of failures of individual components and forms a reliability model that takes into account the impact of preventive maintenance actions, and therefore obtains parameters of two-parameter Weibull distribution. Based on these parameters a model that allows the prediction of reliability and testing of the impact of imperfect preventive maintenance on the reliability of components is generated. The coefficient Cwpm is introduced by the model as a measure of eliminating unreliability of components. The model is new, original, based on software simulation and easy to implement.
