Agreement Technologies and Multi-agent Environments

Abstract

Agreements as crucial social concepts are present in all human interactions and without them there is no cooperation in social systems. As a consequence of rapid development of different disciplines, agreement and processes for reaching agreements between different kinds of agents, getting a subject of perspective research activities. Agreement Technologies refer as well to computer systems in which autonomous software agents negotiate with one another, in order to come to mutually acceptable agreements. The goals of this paper are to present the essential issues in Agreement Technologies and highlight its influence on multi-agent environments. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.
