Abstract: The paper presents a chronological survey of the most important insect pests identified in Vojvodina forests during the period 2004 - 2013, and the activities on their monitoring and suppression. To protect the forests against insect pests, their characteristics have to be known, they should be detected in time, and finally suppressed by the most efficient methods and means. During the past period, the health state of forest ecosystems was satisfactory, which is the best proof of the good team work of the professionals and scientists in this field, so it can be a good example to forest profession in general.
