Abstract: BISIS library software system supports the processing of the library collection units in accordance with the format which comes from the online and printed reports prepared for librarians and library users. The users obtain information about the items in collections through the Internet. The most interesting for them are the reports which clearly describe the publication, identifying it as the physical unit in the library stock. The other library reports are designed to support library work in separate phases: acquisition lists, accession stock listings, redactor listings, etc. An Internet/ intranet library bibliographic listing prepared for the librarians, particularly those from the reports which support ISBD standards, is analyzed in the paper. The analysis has provided the rules for the machine-readable record mappings to the particular report areas. An object-oriented model of the BISIS report segment is specified by using the Unified Modeling Language and implemented in Java programming language. The accomplished report segment supports obtaining all types of basic and auxiliary cards for the different publication types, as well as for the accession book.
