Four thiazole derivatives: 5-benzylidene-2,4-dioxotetrahydro-1,3-thiazole (5-BDT), 5-(4-isopropylbenzylidene)-2,4-dioxotetrahydro-1,3-thiazole (5-IPBDT), 5-(3-thenylidene)-2,4-dioxotetrahydro-1,3-thiazole (5-TDT) and 5-(3,4-dimetoxybenzylidene)-2,4-dioxotetrahydro-1,3-thiazole (5-MBDT) were investigated on copper electrode in 0.1moldm–3 Na2SO4 solution at pH=2.95. The apparent mass and current variation as a function of the electrode potential was registred in order to study the protective film and its breakdown. Results revealed that the anodic current density and the electrode mass loss is more less in presence of investigated thiazole derivatives than in blank solution. The best result was obtained in presence of 5-IPBDT derivatives. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/26881 | ISBN: | 978-86-82343-11-0 | DOI: | (BISIS)67943 |
