Radiation exposure is of concern for those practicing interventional cardiology. Interventional cardiologists have frequent exposure through fluoroscopy and angiography. As the responsible physicians, cardiologists are expected to be knowledgeable about radiation risks and optimal protective methods. They also bear the primary responsibility for the safety and education of cardiologists-in-training. In this study, we presented measured values of absorbed doses for interventional cardiologist, technician and sterile instrumental nurse in three different cardiology rooms [1]. Minimization of dose to patient and staff is not the main issue in radiation protection, but optimization of dose to patient (adequate image quality) and minimization dose to staff. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/2568 | ISBN: | 9788661250637 |
