Title: | Structure making properties of 1-(2-hydroxylethyl)-3-methylimidazolium chloride ionic liquid | Authors: | Vraneš Milan Aleksandar Tot Armaković Stevan Armaković Sanja Gadžurić Slobodan |
Keywords: | Ionic liquidsVolumetric propertiesMolecular dynamicsViscosityConductivity | Issue Date: | 2016 | Journal: | Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics | Abstract: | Diluted aqueous solutions of 1-(2-hydroxylethyl)-3-methylimidazolium chloride ionic liquid, [C2OHmim][Cl], were investigated and fully characterized. Density, viscosity and electrical conductivity were measuredexperimentally, while from the theoretical aspects molecular dynamics (MD) simulations andradial distribution functions (RDFs) have been applied in order to understand the nature of interactionsand water structuring in the studied system. Radial distribution functions were used to determine the ionsites that are principally responsible for the interaction with water. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/16786 | ISSN: | 0021-9614 1096-3626 |
