Title: Solid state fermentation of corn stover by mutant strain of Chaetomium cellulolyticum

Abstract: Mutant strains of Chaetomium cellulolyticum were obtained by adition of different quantities of zinc (as ZnCl2) into growth medium. These strains were tested for protein - enriched feed production by solid state fermentation of roughly grounded, and of alkali - pretreated corn stover. Best results were obtained by solid state fermentation of alkali - pretreated corn stover, when additional quantities of zinc (8.3 mg of ZnSO4 per gram of stover dry substance) were applied.
