dc.description.abstract© 2019 IEEE. In this paper, modelling and characterization of strain and temperature sensors based on fiber Bragg grating is presented. Simulation of FBG sensors behavior demonstrates very good measurement linearity for both strain and temperature. Simulation results were experimentally verified using two common methods for FBG interrogation. Measurement results obtained by both methods show a good match and good linearity. Strain sensitivity of 0.0002 nm/μϵ and temperature sensitivity of approximately 0.014 mm/°C were obtained.en
