Abstract: The characteristics of ceramic atomized ceramic powder and the nature and extent of particle contacts during compacting procedure are relevant for the quality of both green and sintered floor tiles. The effect of particle size distribution, their textural and morphological characteristics on the consolidation mechanism was investigated. Size composition of the systems, obtained after the action of a set of pressures is considered as relevant parameter for analyzing the influence of the defined pressure on compacting mechanism.
