Title: Energy-efficiency improvements by joint operation of two DH systems using old condensing turbines
Authors: Grković V.
Issue Date: 1-Jan-1997
Journal: Energy
Abstract: The design concept and optimization procedure are presented. The total heat load for both systems at peak conditions is estimated to be 1,216 MJ/s in 2001. The thermal power plant consists of six steam-condensing units with a total electric capacity of 1650 MW(e) at the generator terminals. It will be converted for CHP operation and will supply heat to both systems. The energy-efficiency improvements are maximised with CHP and system optimization.
