dc.description.abstract© 2018 IEEE. In this paper, a gateway for packet manipulation is proposed and optimized. Namely, routing protocols between different communication standards, such as Controller Area Network (CAN) and FlexRay, are essential in automotive industry. The proposed gateway supports several routing scenarios between CAN and FlexRay protocols. The gateway is tested and its performance is analyzed. Additionally, after gateway analysis, the program code has been optimized in order to increase its performances. The results after optimization show significant improvements of proposed gateway performance.en
