Title: | Some improvements of the nonequidistant Engquist-Osher scheme | Authors: | Vulanović R. | Issue Date: | 1-Jan-1990 | Journal: | Applied Mathematics and Computation | Abstract: | Two nonequidistant finite-difference schemes for quasilinear singular perturbation problems are given, and their properties are discussed and compared. One of them corresponds to the equidistant Lorenz modification of the Engquist-Osher scheme. The other one switches in dependence on the cell Reynolds number. Both schemes show quadratic L1 accuracy, but the second one gives better pointwise results. © 1990. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/13618 | ISSN: | 00963003 | DOI: | 10.1016/0096-3003(90)90129-Q |
