Abstract: The chromatographic behaviour of four groups of s-triazine derivatives (15 compounds) has been studied on aminoplast and cellulose thin layers; methanol-aqueous acetic acid (30 + 20, v/v), methanol-acetic acid-acetonitrile (30 + 20 + 5, v/v), and methanol-aqueous ammonia (30 + 20, v/v) were used as mobile phases. The influence of mobile phase pH on the chromatographic retention of s-triazine derivatives was examined; large changes in retention occur in pH region of protonation and dissociation of s-triazine derivatives. The influence of the chemical structure of the s-triazine derivatives on their chromatographic behavior is also discussed.
