The nonlinear transmission line is a structure where short-duration pulses called electrical solitons can be created and propagated. In this paper, we analytically and numerically investigated the propagation of soliton-like pulses along a lossy nonlinear transmission RLC line. Based on Kirchhoff's law taken in the continuum limit, a nonlinear partial differential equation is derived. Exact soliton solutions of voltage equation are obtained by symbolic computation using an improved tanh-function (ITF) method. It is found that the parameters of the transmission line play an important role in controlling the shape of the soliton. We discussed the fundamental properties of each soliton-like pulse, including the width and velocity. Ill. 7, bibl. 14 (in English; abstracts in English and Lithuanian).en
