Babushkin (1989) referred to the forming of ternary compounds (CaO·Al2O3·2SiO2 and 2CaO· Al2O3·SiO2 as well as the binary compounds (2CaO·SiO2 and CaO·SiO2) in the temperature interval from 1000 to 1600°K, based on Gibbs free energy calculated separately for the particular chemical reaction. The aim of this paperd was to calculate the equilibrium composition of the mentioned system as a function of both initial mixture composition and sintering temperature, taking all probable reactions into consideration.
