Title: | Absorption features of symmetric molecular nanofilms | Authors: | Šetrajčić J. Pelemiš S. Vučenović, Sonja Zorić V. Armaković S. Škipina B. Šetrajčić A. |
Issue Date: | 9-Aug-2010 | Journal: | 2010 27th International Conference on Microelectronics, MIEL 2010 - Proceedings | Abstract: | A microscopic theory of dielectric properties of symmetrical ultrathin molecular films, was formulated in bosonic and nearest-neighbor approximation. The dispersion law of harmonic exciton states were calculated using the method of two-time, temperature dependent Green's functions. It has been shown that two types of excitations can be occurred: bulk and surface exciton states. Exciton spectral weights and space distribution along the direction of broken symmetry were analyzed as well. Calculating of dynamical permittivity by the single-pole Green's functions have shown that the threshold of light absorption can be moved along frequencies, changing the film thickness and the intensity of boundary perturbations. This can give a great contribution to practical ultrathin film engineering. © 2010 IEEE. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/10773 | ISBN: | 9781424472017 | DOI: | 10.1109/MIEL.2010.5490518 |
