dc.description.abstractFor an automated classification of heart murmurs there is a need of detailed analysis of heart sounds both in time and frequency domain. In this work the possibility of extracting the formant frequencies from the phonocardiogram was examined. The purpose of examination described here was to obtain a result which could facilitate the classification by offering additional information about the sound characteristics. ©2010 IEEE.en
