Abstract: The paper focuses on the analysis of significance ad possibilities of implementation of integrativity and interdisciplinarity in the teaching process. In that context, we presented the results of the study the objective of which is focused on the analysis of examples of correlation and integration of didactically transposed contents of Religious Education and Literary Education. The contents correlation assumptions have been considered through the analysis of curricula and textbooks of the above-mentioned subjects at elementary and secondary school levels. Based on the analysis it has been determined that correlation approach can be adequately applied at an elementary school level in the field of linking the contents of Religious Education with the contents encompassing the works of folk literature, while at a secondary school level the correlation can be set with the works belonging to artistic literature, as well as with the topics linked with certain texts from the Bible. For the needs of this paper we singled out one example for each correlation of the above-mentioned contents that presents well the potential of correlation-methodological system in Religious and Literary Education. The results of the research lead to the conclusion that integrativity and interdisciplinarity contribute to modernisation and optimisation of the teaching process.
