Issue Date: | 1-Jul-2014 | Journal: | Custos e Agronegocio | Abstract: | © 2014, Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco. All rights reserved. The paper presents results on analysis of the performance of companies in meat industry in Serbia in period 2010-2012. In examination of interactions among participants in the meat industry, companies are divided into two groups, companies in livestock production, which includes farming and breeding of domestic animals, and companies in the meat-processing industry. Research results indicate the low return on investment, profitability, liquidity and high debt of the companies in the meat industry in Serbia. Further analysis evidence that companies in the meat-processing industry have better performances than livestock producers and that this difference is mostly statistically significant. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/5527 | ISSN: | 18082882 |
