dc.description.abstractThe paper presents the method of selection of the optimal arc welding process in a concrete case: arc welding of an Al alloy (AlMgSi0,5) pallet. Alternatives and criteria are shown, and the selection was made with the support of a multi-criteria analysis model. The problem is solved by applying the TOPSIS method. The TOPSIS method showed itself as suitable for solving the problem of the multi-criteria selection of the arc welding method. Depending on concrete welding conditions it is possible to change criteria and their significance. It is also possible to apply some other methods of multi-criteria analysis considering the selection of welding method.en_US
