dc.description.abstractDifferent tools are used to support contemporary education. Teachers are often facing the challenge of creating perfect blends of traditional classroom activities and the most appropriate e-learning components for their courses. Proper tools are very important for developing and conducting such programs. Choosing rather complex sets of tools, usually called learning management systems (LMSs), has become a common practice. Both of our institutions have opted for Open Source LMS Moodle. After years of its applications in teaching practice we wanted to analyze the results from both student and teacher perspective. Using a specially designed questionnaire we collected answers from students on the following questions: whether and how often they use the available tools for communication and collaboration; whether they are in favour of online testing; are they satisfied with the localization into Serbian resp. Slovenian; whether they encountered some problems while using Moodle; are there any serious privacy issues we should deal with, etc. Inquiry was done in both Maribor and Novi Sad. Results are reported and analyzed in this paper.en
