Title: | Modular conception of briquetting press | Authors: | Šooš Ľ. Beniak J. Križan P. Kovač, Pavel Matúš M. Ploskuňáková L. |
Issue Date: | 1-May-2018 | Journal: | European Biomass Conference and Exhibition Proceedings | Abstract: | © 2018 ETA-Florence Renewable Energies. On today's markets there exist a good number of different briquetting press designs. The customer has the option of choosing different types of briquetting presses, for example, a screw press, a hydraulic press or even a mechanical press. At the Institute of Production Systems, Environmental Engineering and Quality Management of the Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, we have also developed a modular conception that allows the assembly of both single-chamber and multi-chamber briquetting presses. For example, when assembling a dual-chamber press, we achieve double the performance, higher energy efficiency, easier balancing of the crank mechanism, and higher usability of the built-in space. When assembling a dual-chamber press with more than 83 % of the parts identical to the single-chamber unit, the efficiency of production is greatly increased. The aim of this paper is to describe the modular conception of a multi-chamber briquetting press and to present research on new machine components that substantially expand the basic functions of the compaction machine. | URI: | https://open.uns.ac.rs/handle/123456789/1627 |
