The distortion phenomena in the manufacture of ceramic wall tiles, known as warpage and curvature, are the function of the mineral composition of the raw material and technological parameters of the defined production line. The paper correlates the density of the green products, compaction degree of the atomized powder and the mineral composition of the raw components in order to define the causes of distortion phenomena and to keep it within the standard limits. © 2002 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.en
