The paper presents the results of correlated, rheological and in vitro drug release evaluation for various hydrophilic gels of terbinafine hydrochloride 1%. Linear dependence was observed between diffusion coefficient values (Higuchi model) and the concentration of cellulose derivative (1 to 4%). For the semisolid systems with concentrations of active pharmaceutical ingredient near the saturation point, selection of the nature and concentration of gel-forming excipients allows an accurate control of the delivery profile.en
