dc.description.abstractCombinatorial formulas for Kekulé structure counts (K) of a class of benzenoids referred to as "flounders" are derived. They represent a generalization of the previously studied "pentagon-shaped" benzenoids. A special case of the K formula reproduces the well-known Catalan numbers. © 1989 J.C.
