dc.description.abstractThe states of semi-infinite order-disorder ferroelectrics are analysed. It was shown that symmetry breaking disturbs the ordering of quasi-spins: the ordering parameters of the bulk quasi-spins differ from the corresponding one of surface quasi-spins. Two types of phase transitions are possible, one belonging to the volume states and the other belonging to the surface states. © 1988.en
