dc.description.abstractThe method for rapid semimicro- and microtitrimetric determination of magnesium in magnesium stearate was developed. By this method magnesium stearate was dissolved in a mixture of ethanol and pH 10 buffer solution (9:1) and magnesium was directly titrated with 0.001 M EDTA solution using methylthymol blue as indicator. In the presence of ethanol the color change was sharper and the indicator was not blocked by copper(II) and iron(III) traces. © 1968.en
